Internship Opportunities

Meridian Behavioral Health offers clinical training and supervision for several licensing disciplines including LADCs and LICSWs. We have affiliations with a number of academic institutions as we believe internships are critical to professional education, clinical experience, in addition to being necessary for professional licensure.

Team Member

Matt Mortinson

Director of Patient Access

Matthew Mortinson joined the Meridian Behavioral Health team in February of 2018 as a Business Development and Marketing Representative after working in various capacities of behavioral health since 2005 while pursuing his undergraduate degree. With a brief departure from Meridian as the Executive Director of St. Paul Sober Living, he rejoined the organization in September of 2021 as the Treatment Director of Bridge Recovery in Sauk Rapids, MN, followed by moving to his current role as Director of Patient Access. Matt is an active member of the recovery community and board member of MASH (MN Association of Sober Homes).

Stacy Rivers, MSW, LICSW

Vice President of Clinical Services

Stacy holds a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work and has dedicated over 15 years to supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with mental health and substance use disorders. She has extensive experience working in various social and healthcare settings, including CentraCare and Fairview Health Services, honing her skills in providing compassionate and effective care. In early 2024, Stacy joined the Meridian team as VP for Clinical Services, bringing her knowledge and expertise to further the mission of person-centered, co-occurring care.
