Jim joined Meridian in late 2017, bringing an impressive track record in healthcare. Most recently, Jim served for nearly 12 years as a principal executive at Center for Diagnostic Imagining (CDI), helping lead the company through exponential growth, in both its number of facilities and in terms of revenues. Jim was CFO at CDI from 2005 through 2015 and promoted to COO. During his time in both of those roles, from 2014 through 2017, Jim served concurrently as President of CDI’s Mobile Division. All of this experience taught Jim the importance of efficient use of highly centralized resources in enabling caregiver impact, the outcome which ultimately distinguishes one provider from another.

Jim grew up in suburban Philadelphia near historic Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. He attended Lehigh University in his home state, earning a B.S. in finance. Jim went on to earn his MBA – with honors – from the prestigious Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.

Prior to his tenure at CDI, Jim served as CFO for Georgia-based NutraSweet. Before that, Jim’s Minnesota “roots” took hold during his 12 years as a financial executive for Northwest Airlines (now Delta). While at the airline, Jim directed strategy for its cargo division and managed aircraft acquisitions, among other important roles. He says financial planning, particularly in rapidly scaling enterprises, in not unlike going through a meticulous checklist on a flight plan; you have to have the details right so you can get everyone where they want to go.

During what passes for Jim’s free time, he enjoys golfing, boating, and spending time with family, especially any chance to watch his kids do better in sports than he ever did.
